Free entry fees for veterans

So, it was really time for loyalty to pay off. Of the 514 competitors who have competed in the past 11 editions of the race, there are some masochists who have already competed 10 times, and there are some who will compete for the tenth time this year.

Well, this year the entry fee is free for them! And who are these masochists?

• Dejan Jakac – 9 entries
• Igor Dorotić – 9 entries
• Robert Pobežin – 9 entries
• Klemen Udovič – 9 entries

How will this work in practice? Teams in which some of the listed people compete will contact the complicator by email at joker@piktogram42.hr, and the complicator will then instruct them on what to do next.

If they don’t compete this year, their free entry fee will be rolled over to the next year and so on, until they use it up.

Benefits for women

We analyzed previous editions of the race and came to the conclusion that there are far more male hunters than female hunters. And that’s not OK at all. That’s why starting this year, we’re introducing a discount for mixed and female teams. How much will the discount be? Read on.

Entry fee for 2026

The entry fee will be payable in three time frames, depending on the teams’ preferences. In the first round, there will be a 20% reduced price, in the second it will be the normal price, and in the third, for those who are lazy, forgetful and who generally don’t care about the rules – we will punish them with an increased, abnormal price. And at least we will have compensation for unnecessary last-minute-I-will-register complications.

“Now’s the time” time frame

This frame runs from April 20, 2026 to September 30, 2026, and the prices within this frame are as follows:

• male teams 80 €
• mixed teams 70 €
• female teams 60 €

“Waiting for the last moment” time frame

This frame runs from October 1, 2026 to October 15, 2026, and the prices within this frame are as follows:

• male teams 100 €
• mixed teams 90 €
• female teams 80 €

“I want to sponsor a complicator” time frame

This frame runs from October 16, 2026 to October 22, 2026, and the prices within this frame are as follows:

• male teams 120 €
• mixed teams 110 €
• female teams 100 €

Maximum number of teams

There are no limits to complications in the Truffle Hunt, but there is a limit that we do not want to exceed, and that is the maximum number of 100 teams. If demand exceeds 100, we will open a waiting list.
